Once a precocious child organizing neighborhood street theatre, playground Shakespeare performances, and publishing a weekly cul-de-sac newspaper, adult Caroline can happily proclaim that not much has changed.

A recent graduate of New York University and master's student at Radboud University, she is a multidisciplinary academic and creative turned aspiring arts administrator presently studying how to mobilize the performing arts against climate change.

As an arts administrator, her keystone project was managing Village Verein, a rising independent orchestra in lower Manhattan. As Executive Director of Verein, she developed the group from a student project to a regularly producing ensemble presenting unique theatrical and concert programming. Most recently, a four-night concert series of Mahler's "Das Lied von der Erde" featuring Grammy-winning tenor Freddie Ballentine and alto Heather Petrie, both of the Metropolitan Opera.here.

Outside of her personal projects, she has worked at the International Studio and Curatorial Program and Metropolitan Opera, exposing her to crucial administrative skills and the inner workings and politics of the New York City arts scene.

Academically, Caroline double majored in Public Policy and History with a minor in Chinese language. Additionally, before winning a Fulbright Scholarship, she was a BA-MPA candidate at NYU's Wagner School of Public Policy, completing half of her MPA requirements during her undergraduate program. To supplement her professional pursuits in the creative industries, Caroline audited courses within NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture master's performing arts administration program.

Recently, she attended the Bayreuth Festspiele as part of the Richard Wagner Scholarship Foundation's annual stipend program at the historic opera festival. She represents the Wagner Society of New York abroad as the society's international liaison to the Richard Wagner International Verband.

As an artist, Caroline primarily writes, works with fiber, and plays music. Recently, she has been writing libretti for composer David H. Mailman. Their collaborative work "from seed to bud" premiered at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music. Working with fiber, Caroline has been sewing since early childhood. She maintains open sewing commissions for garments and has shipped to clients across the globe. She also teaches crochet lessons.
